Instructions

  1. Place the sausages in a large pan and add 2 cups water.
  2. Simmer without piercing the sausage until the water is evaporated and the sausages are browned.
  3. Add the onions and apples - cook till soft.
  4. Add carrots, cabbage, caraway and the beer.
  5. Season with the salt and pepper.
  6. Cover and simmer for 1 hour or until the cabbage is tender.
  7. Serve with rolls or bread.
