Instructions

  1. Cut carrots in half crosswise, then lengthwise into 2 or 3 sticks.
  2. Simmer, covered, in a small amount of boiling salted water for about 10 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  3. Drain.
  4. Melt the butter.
  5. Stir in brown sugar until dissolved.
  6. Add carrots.
  7. Cook over medium-low heat about 10 minutes, turning often.
