Instructions

  1. HUSH PUPPIES:
  2. Heat oil to 350°F.
  3. Stir together all ingredients.
  4. Drop by tablespoon into hot oil (Hint: drop close to oil to prevent getting a bunch of little hush puppies).
  5. When hush puppies float and are golden on one side, flip and brown other side.
  6. Remove from oil and place on a paper towel lined cookie sheet, in a low oven.
  7. FRIED CATFISH.
  8. Rinse catfish fillets in cold water.
  9. Drain well.
  10. Salt and pepper the fish. (At this point other seasonings can be added, such as garlic, Old Bay Tony's, etc).
  11. Dredge fish in Seasoned Fish Fry.
  12. Deep fry in hot oil.
