Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups of water, sugar and lemon zest and bring to a simmer while stirring. Pour the syrup into a stainless steel or glass bowl, stir in the remaining 2 cups of water and lemon juice. Place bowl inside of a bowl filled with ice water, stirring occasionally, until chilled, about 10 minutes.
  2. Process the strawberries in a food processor or blender, stir into the lemonade and strain.
  3. Serve over ice.
