Instructions

  1. Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Cream shortening and sugars.
  3. Beat in eggs, add vanilla and beat until fluffy.
  4. Add milk and dry ingredients alternately.
  5. Stir in cherries and chocolate chips.
  6. Pour into greased jelly roll pan.
  7. Bake at 325°F for 24-30 minutes.
  8. Frost with chocolate icing while warm.
