Instructions

  1. Sift flour add baking soda and powder and salt; sift again.
  2. Cream shortening and peanut butter.
  3. Gradually add the sugar and cream thoroughly.
  4. Add the well beaten egg.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients and creamed mixture.
  6. Chill.
  7. Form into 1-inch balls and place on lightly greased and floured sheet.
  8. Flatten with fork, making a criss-cross design.
  9. Bake at 375° 8-10 minutes.
