Instructions

  1. Place water and rice in medium saucepan; bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to low; cover.
  3. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.
  4. Stir in evaporated milk, fruit, sugar, vanilla extract, nutmeg and salt; bring to a boil.
  5. Stir a portion of rice mixture into the eggs.
  6. Add egg mixture to rice mixture; mix well with wire whisk.
  7. Bring to a boil.
  8. Cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes. Serve warm or chilled.
