Instructions

  1. Line unpricked pastry shell with a double thickness of heavy-duty foil.
  2. Bake at 450 degrees for 5 minutes; remove foil.
  3. Bake for 5 minutes longer; remove from the oven and let cool.
  4. Reduce heat to 425 degrees.
  5. Sprinkle bacon, cheeses and onion over the crust.
  6. In bowl, beat eggs, cream, salt, sugar and cayenne; pour into crust.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes.
  8. Reduce heat to 300 degrees; bake 30 minutes longer or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
