1 ounce butter

1 large onion, diced

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 lb ground beef

2 1/2 cups red wine

1/2 tablespoon tomato paste

1 cup beef broth

6 fresh tomatoes, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

salt and pepper

11 ounces freshly cooked spaghetti

1 ounce butter

1 large carrot, diced
Instructions
- Heat a large saucepan on the stove and add the butter.
- Fry the onion, carrot and garlic for a few minutes, stirring all the time.
- Add ground beef and cook for 4 minutes.
- Add wine and tomato paste, simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add broth and tomatoes.
- Simmer for 30-45 minutes before adding parsley, worcestershire sauce and plenty of salt and pepper.
- Serve with cooked buttered pasta and freshly grated parmesan.
