Instructions

  1. Beat sugars, butter, shortening, vanilla and egg in a large bowl till fluffy.
  2. In a separate bowl, stir together flour, soda and salt.
  3. Add to butter mixture.
  4. Stir in chocolate and nuts.
  5. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 10 - 12 minutes or until light brown at 350°.
  7. Cool 1 - 2 minutes before removing from the sheet.
