Instructions

  1. Saute onions in butter.
  2. When the onions are caramelized add garlic, saute for 1 minute.
  3. Add undrained sauerkraut, sugar, celery seed and bay leaf.
  4. Cover and simmer 1/2 hour.
  5. Add meat and simmer for 45 minutes.
  6. Serve on bun and top with sauerkraut.
