Instructions

  1. In a Dutch oven, melt butter and sauté onion, seasoned salt, and garlic powder with parsley until onion is tender.
  2. Stir in flour.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes or until thickened.
  6. Stir in chicken broth and beer.
  7. Return to a boil.
  8. Add broccoli; reduce heat and add Cheddar cheese.
  9. Stir until cheese is melted.
