Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar well.
  2. Add egg and vanilla and beat well.
  3. Combine baking powder and flour.
  4. Add gradually to creamed mixture.
  5. Chill until firm.
  6. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  7. Roll out dough to about 1/4" thickness and cut into desired shapes.
  8. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes.
  9. When cool, decorate with frosting or icing if desired.
