Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine beef and garlic salt.
  2. Shape into eight patties.
  3. Top 4 of the patties with cheese.
  4. Cover with remaining patties.
  5. Press edges to seal.
  6. Refrigerate.
  7. In a saucepan, combine the pizza sauce, mushrooms and oregano.
  8. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  9. In a skillet, saute onion in butter until tender. Set aside.
  10. Pan fry, or grill burgers until no longer pink.
  11. Spread bottoms of buns with a little sauce.
  12. Top with burgers, onion and remaining sauce.
  13. Replace tops.
