  1. In a blender combine coffee with ice cream and chocolate syrup; blend until smooth.
  2. Add in sugar (if using) and blend slightly until combined.
  3. Place about 1 cup crushed ice in two large tall glasses.
  4. Divide the mixture into the glasses.
  5. Top with a dollup of whipped cream.
