Instructions

  1. Split the instant coffee granules and vanilla between two coffee mugs (1/2 in each mug).
  2. In a saucepan, bring the 1 1/2 cups water to a boil.
  3. In the meantime, in a separate saucepan, dissolve the sugar in the teaspoon of water, heating it until it reaches a low boil.
  4. Add the boiling water to the brown sugar mixture, and stir well.
  5. Pour equal halves of the hot sugar mixture into the 2 coffee mugs, and stir gently with a spoon.
  6. Serve hot.
