Instructions

  1. Slice tomatoes 1/4 inch thick.
  2. Sprinkle with salt and lemon pepper.
  3. Let stand for 10 minutes.
  4. Mix cornmeal and flour well.
  5. Coat tomato slices with cornmeal mixture.
  6. Heat oil over medium heat.
  7. Fry tomatoes for 4 minutes per side, until tender and golden brown.
  8. Drain on paper towels.
