Instructions

  1. Melt butter.
  2. Add onions to pan& cook on medium high flame until tender& slightly browned at edges, about 8 minutes.
  3. Reserve.
  4. Prick brats all over with a fork.
  5. Brown in same skillet as onions.
  6. Discard excess oil.
  7. Return onions; cook 1 minute.
  8. Add bourbon first, then water, thyme, S& P.
  9. Cook partially covered until brats are done, 15- 20 minutes.
