Instructions

  1. Brown ground chuck, drain grease and set aside.
  2. Cut up vegetables - thinly slice the potatoes (make sure they are evenly sliced so that they cook evenly) dice the onion, and cut up carrot and celery.
  3. In a large bowl mix together the beef, vegetables and tomato sauce, rice and sugar.
  4. Pour all the ingredients into a 9 x 13 inch glass casserole. Cover with tin foil and bake for about an hour in a 350 degree oven - or until the vegetables are done.
