Ingredients

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 cup sweet onion, thinly sliced

1/8 cup honey mustard, sweet Russian

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, white

1/4-1/2 teaspoon sea salt, coarse

1/4-1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground

1 teaspoon lemon juice, fresh squeezed

2 tomatoes, sweet chocolate (or other sweet variety, thinly sliced)

1 ripe avocado, thinly sliced

1/4 teaspoon salt
-
1/4 teaspoon black pepper, ground

2 tablespoons mayonnaise (or miracle whip)

2 Italian rolls or 2 bread
-
1/4 teaspoon creamed horseradish
-
1 small sirloin steak (cooked to your preference, thinly sliced)

1/2 cup wild mushroom, sliced
Instructions
- Wash and slice the mushrooms.
- Fry the mushrooms in 2 tbsp of butter, until tender then set aside to cool.
- Mix with the sweet Russian honey mustard and creamed horseradish, set aside until needed.
- Next slice the sweet onions.
- Add the remaining 2 tbsp of butter to the pan and fry the onions until they are soft.
- Remove the onions from the heat and cool.
- Add the white balsamic vinegar to the onions and set aside until ready to assemble sandwich.
- Season your steak with salt and pepper and pan fry to your personal preference.
- Remove from heat and squeeze the lemon juice over the steak.
- Allow the steak to rest 5 – 10 minutes then thinly slice the steak.
- Slice the sweet tomatoes and avocado if using and season with salt and pepper.
- Slice your firm Italian rolls or bread and scope out most of the soft bread filling.
- Spread the mayonnaise on the top slice of roll.
- You are now ready to assemble your sandwich.
- To the bottom slice add your honey mustard mushrooms.
- Next add the sweet onions and drizzle with any remaining balsamic vinegar.
- The steak slices are next, followed by the tomato, avocado and the top of the roll.
- Slice the sandwich in half and enjoy.
