Instructions

  1. Put garlic slivers and oil in a salad bowl; leave 1 hour.
  2. When ready to serve, remove and discard garlic.
  3. Add romaine; toss lightly.
  4. Add lemon juice, croutons, basil or oregano, salt and pepper; toss.
  5. Mix in tomatoes, cheese, and anchovies; toss.
