Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Grease rectangular pan with shortening.
  3. Beat in large bowl with wooden spoon bananas, sugar, vegetable oil, buttermilk, vanilla, and egg.
  4. Mix in flour, oats, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and baking powder.
  5. Stir in chopped nuts and raisins.
  6. Spread batter in pan.
  7. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick poked in center comes out clean.
  8. Cool completely on wire rack.
