Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine butter, spices and broth.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in milk and potato flakes.
  4. Return to boiling.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  6. Spoon soup into bowls and top with a scant tablespoon of pesto.
  7. Swirl.
  8. Serve immediately.
