Instructions

  1. Oven to 400.
  2. Bake 30 minutes, turn once.
  3. Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, ginger, and pepper in a saucepan on the stove.
  4. Add water, lemon, and soy sauce.
  5. Mix together, bring to simmer, cook until slightly thickened.
  6. Brush sauce over wings.
  7. Continue baking and basting until chicken is richly glazed, about another 30 minutes.
  8. Serve hot with lemon slices.
