Instructions

  1. Cut artichoke hearts into thin slices.
  2. Saute artichokes and garlic in butter until tender.
  3. Remove artichoke hearts to a shallow baking dish.
  4. Stir seasonings and flour into remaining butter.
  5. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly.
  6. Cook over low heat until thickened.
  7. Remove from heat.
  8. Slowly add liquid to egg and 1/4 cup of the cheese.
  9. Blend until smooth.
  10. Pour sauce over artichoke hearts and sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup cheese, crumbs and paprika.
  11. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes.
