Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and sugar.
  2. Add the egg and beat until fluffy.
  3. Blend in the vanilla.
  4. Sift in the flour, baking powder and salt.
  5. Mix until combined.
  6. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill 1 hour.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350.
  8. On a floured surface, roll half of the dough to 1/8-inch thick.
  9. Cut shapes using cooking cutters.
  10. Bake on a greased baking sheet for 8 minutes.
  11. Do not allow them to brown.
  12. Decorate.
