Ingredients

• 1 cup shortening
• 2 cups sugar
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 3 eggs
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 2 teaspoons almond extract or 2 teaspoons orange extract (1 tsp each of any 2 flavorings you like etc.)
