Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Whip together condensed milk and separated egg yolks until light and creamy at medium speed, about 8 minutes.
  3. Add 1/2 cup lime juice.
  4. Let rotate at low speed for about 1 second.
  5. Fold a few times with a rubber spatula.
  6. Pour into baked pie shell.
  7. Let stand.
  8. Beat separated egg whites with cream of tartar for a full five minutes.
  9. Add sugar.
  10. Beat another full five minutes.
  11. Spread on top of pie.
  12. Brown in oven.
