Instructions

  1. In a saucepan or large skillet heat oil.
  2. Add onion and garlic and sauté 5 minutes or until translucent.
  3. Add remaining sauce ingredients.
  4. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered 1 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  5. Process in a blender or food processor until smooth.
  6. Chill in refrigerator until ready to use or up to 3 weeks.
