Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Remove stems from mushrooms, place caps open end up in a 9 x 13 baking dish.
  3. Very finely chop mushroom stems.
  4. Sauté stems, green pepper and onion in 4 tablespoons butter until translucent (not browned), use more butter if needed.
  5. And seasoning and sauté for 1 more minute.
  6. Gently stir in crab, mayonnaise and breadcrumbs, over a low heat, bring to a slight boil for 1 minute.
  7. Scoop mixture into mushroom caps.
  8. Pour melted butter over caps.
  9. Bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Serve as is or with lemon wedges.
