Instructions

  1. Combine beans and 6 cups water in large saucepan.
  2. Bring to boil.
  3. Reduce heat, and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
  4. Drain, discarding cooking water, and rinse beans.
  5. Combine all ingredients in slow cooker.
  6. Cover.
  7. Cook on low 8-10 hours, or high 4-5 hours.
  8. Discard bay leaves before serving.
